He couldn't get the bell to send sound notification to any of our 2 android phones.
The sound sign on the Arlo screen shows "inactive "
We tried uninstall and reinstall. It didn't work.
Phoned Arlo support. They tried many processes but they didn't work.
Then I am told that other customers have similar issues and it is being investigated. They will come back to me. They haven't yet.
Any person having similar experiences or a solution please?

Just to clarify - you are talking about motion notifications, not about getting a call when the doorbell is pressed. Is that correct? And you are receiving the notifications, just not hearing the sound?
Also, what model(s) are the phones? What version of Android are they running?

Then is a phone settings problem, and not something with the larger system. I've been using an iPhone for about a year, so I don't currently have access to an Android system.
But you should launch the app and go into settings. There should be one for "Notification Tone" per this kb article: https://kb.arlo.com/000039087/How-do-I-enable-or-disable-push-notifications-on-my-Android-device
There are also general Android settings for notification sounds that you might need to check.
