ARLO video doorbell can't read the QR code on my phone when new wifi network installed

Just changed the network at my house and did the steps to resync the doorbell to the new one. I got all the way until it came to taking a photo of the QR code on my phone. Tried all the steps. One thing I couldn't quite get was how to allow the ARLO app access to the phone camera. There aren't any options in the app on the phone to allow that. Are there permissions somewhere to get that to work? Or is there something else I'm missing?
