viewing 4k recordings in firefox

how are you viewing your recordings from the arlo pro 3 and 4 cameras in google or firefox?

Neither Chrome nor Firefox support the HEVC codec used for 2K and 4K videos.  So all you can do with those browsers is download the video and use a different media player (VLC is one that works).

 

Edge will work on newer Windows 10/11 systems.  It does require a 6th generation Intel or AMD processor in the PC, and usually also requires purchasing the Microsoft HEVC extension from the Microsoft Store ($.99)

 

Similarly, Safari should work on newer Macs.  I'm not a Mac owner though, and don't have any direct experience here.
