When I viewed a recording for the first couple of times, there was a few seconds that were cut off after saving and post viewing. Is there anyway to recover those few seconds?

Are you saying that you downloaded/edited the recording? For instance, by saving it to photos on an iOS device?
The app itself doesn't trim the recordings.

The app doesn't do any editing/trimming. Can you access the recording in the app again (perhaps using a PC browsing to my.arlo.com), and take another look?

I can still view the video in the app but the missing footage isn’t there either. I have seen that a few times before also. But I really needed it for a certain video

You might be talking about the absence of pre-roll feature?
Is it wired or on battery?
