Hi, please manufacture a solar charging solution for the wire free doorbell? It would be great not to have to worry about the battery going dead while I'm travelling. @https://www.arlo.com/asia/doorbell/video/AVD2001B-100APS.html

Hardware 1.3

Firmware 1.2.0.0_624_718aea3_c998ba4

Do you have existing wiring and a transformer from a previous doorbell installation? If so, use that to trickle charge the battery.

Nope! I don’t have any existing wiring! That’s why having a solar charger like the Ring doorbell would be ideal.

While it could be useful, under normal circumstance the battery lasts a couple of months. Fully charging before leaving will take care of a lot of days of travel. BTW, there are plug-in transformers you could use instead:

I only wish the battery would last months. It barely lasts a week and it’s brand new.
I can’t use a transformer, there is no electricity anywhere close to the external wall.

Sounds like it's recording a ton. Turn off zones and disable Smart for the doorbell to see how many recordings are actually being made per day. You may need to turn down the doorbell motion sensitivity in your modes and rules if on a busy street. I happen to use 45% which works well for me.
