I have 2 identical iPhones - one will talk to visitors that activate my newly fitted wire free doorbell but the other will not (however it can send pre-recorded messages successfully) - all settings appear the same - any ideas

Have you rebooted the phone and reinstalled the app? Does the app have permission to access the mic?
