Wire Free Essential Video Doorbell is not sending notifications or recording video when motion detected or button pressed. App up to date, same problem across various IOS and Android devices. Seems an issue since latest app update.

Your post says Wire Free (AVD2001), but the model you selected is Wired (AVD1001). Can you clarify which you have?
I suggest making sure the doorbell is armed, and that the mode includes the rule for recording and notifying. https://kb.arlo.com/42/What-are-modes-and-rules-and-how-does-Arlo-use-them
Also check the subscription status. You won't get recordings w/o a subscription (though you ought to be getting notifications).
