I have just started using an Arlo doorbell after using Ring doorbells for over the last five years.

I have had more issues with the Arlo doorbell in the last week since I have purchased it, than in the entirety of using Ring doorbells. The doorbell is constantly offline, I have had to reset it numerous times. The video takes on average 15 seconds to load to live feed, if it even loads at all.

I have never had these issues with Ring, and I am seeing less and less of a reason to stay with this doorbell. Is this a common issue? My doorbell could not be physically any closer to my router, and my internet is always high performance.

Someone tell me what I am missing?

That sounds like a connection problem. Since the doorbell is wireless, pop it off the mount and take it closer to your router or hub. Does it work better there? What is your house construction and describe the path between the router or hub and the location of the door.

The doorbell is less than five feet away from the router, only separated by an exterior wall. Connection is fine with every other device I take onto the porch, or even further.

By any chance is there another wireless device nearby that could be interfering with the signal?

Also, it would be useful to know what is inside the wall.  A pipeshaft, or other metal (rebar or mesh perhaps for concrete or stucco) can all block wifi.

You could also run speedtest (OOKLA app) on your phone at the doorbell, and check the connection speed that way.

Though honestly, if Ring connected with no issues, then Arlo should too.
