Hello, I have the essential wire free video door bell and would like to know:
1). If I use the chime 2 do I need to disable the existing mechanical chime.
2). What is the pro and con of connecting the essential video doorbell to a smart hub vs directly to my Wi-Fi router. I am already using a smart hub with my cameras.
3). Do the chime 2 and essential video doorbell have to be on the same smart hub or WiFi router system.

1) You don't have to disable the existing chime - you can use both chimes at the same time if you wish or just one of them.
2) Use of a hub connection gives you a dedicated connection as opposed to sharing your WiFi connection and also gives you the ability for local recordings if you wish. Which one is better for you would take testing.
3) No. It's not the connection itself, it's what's in your account.
