I have a new Arlo wire-free doorbell and I’m a bit confused whether I can connect to my old ringer. My old door bell was a simple push button with a battery powered ringer. Can I connect the old ringer to the Arlo with the wired connection? Does the Arlo just complete the circuit like the old push button or is it more sophisticated than that?

Sewell,
When hardwiring with an existing chime, you'll need to take a look at the following installation requirements: How do I hardwire my Arlo Essential Video Doorbell Wire-Free?
If you don't have a transformer and your existing chime is battery powered, this isn't likely to be compatible for use with AVD2001.
