When my door bell button is pushed I would like a text or push notification that says someone is at the front door. I do not want a phone call. Is there a way to do this?

That would be a function of recordings. When your modes have rules for the doorbell, be sure to enable push notifications. That way you can enable Silent Mode in the doorbell settings.

Close, but not exactly the same. FWIW, it would be nice to be able to get a push notification when the doorbell is pressed, even if the system is not recording.

My point was simply to use the existing capabilities rather than waiting for a possible enhancement.

I agree it's a useful workaround.
But I'd still like to see an option to get a push notification instead of (or in addition to) a phone call.
