I purchased two separate Chime 2 units to go with my Arlo wireless video doorbell, and was unable to install either one. I followed the directions meticulously (and I'm a software engineer, so I WAS able to follow instructions), but got the same results both times--"Unable to connect to Wi-fi network". I am using version 3.6.2 of the Arlo Security app on iOS 15.6. (my wife and I have the same phones, so I'm unable to test on another version of the OS or on Android.) While my doorbell works fine, I'm very disappointed that the Chime 2 seems to be a less than mature product; we could really use an audio cue to go with the video doorbell, but it doesn't seem like Arlo is going to be able to produce one any time soon.

You could try updating to the latest app version 3.6.8 to see if it works any better.

My apologies, the forum has the ability to alter it’s posted content from time to time thus causing confusion.

nosnetrom,

Some users have found special characters in the SSID/Password resulted in the Chime failing to connect. Does your SSID/Password contain any special characters?

Yes; in the interests of security, I do use a special character in my network’s password. Do you know if there are special characters that are especially problematic?
