My Arlo doorbell camera was purchased from Verisure and is integrated in their app. I’ve decided to ditch Verisure, can I still keep the camera working somehow?

MarSun73,

If the doorbell was purchased from Verisure, you may need to continue using the Verisure app for the doorbell to function. I recommend reaching out to Verisure support to investigate further options.

It depends on your T&Cs with Verisure. If you've paid for the doorbell, then probably yes, you can keep it. However, if it's on 'loan', then you'll need to return it. As I said above - you need to check the T&Cs of your agreement with them to be certain about your position. This process may fail ultimately, so you're doing it on the understanding of that. I don't think the doorbell sold by Verisure is any different than that sold by Arlo.

On the other hand, once you confirm that it's yours, you could try to remove it from your Verisure account and add it to an Arlo account. Remember, though, that once you've done it, you'll lose any benefits of using the doorbell with the Verisure app.

Hi,

thanks for your reply. I do indeed own the equipment so it should be fine from that perspective. Verisure have said they have no interest in claiming any ownership.
Any costs related to connecting to an Arlo account?

I’ll try, but last time I spoke to them they weren’t very eager to help… worth another go I suppose. Thanks!

The cost is of course associated with the cost of subscription.
