Spoke with Arlo Support today on why I cannot connect my Arlo 2K Doorbell (VD4001-100NAS). Was updated with this device is not connected to homekit yet and was disappointing to hear as the HD version can connect. Hoping Arlo makes this software update soon

The feature should be available for the Essential 2 doorbell by the end of the month.

I spoke with Arlo support about my Arlo 2K Doorbell not connecting to HomeKit. I was told it’s not supported yet, even though the HD version works with HomeKit. Hoping Arlo releases a software update soon to enable this feature.

Same!!!  I updated from the original Arlo Essential doorbell that would work with HomeKit only to find this newer and more expensive version than the HD does NOT. Makes NO sense. Get with the program Arlo. All my other Pro2 cameras work with HomeKit. That was the whole point of me selecting Arlo in the first place. Definitely a step in the wrong direction.

Is there an update? I tried to connect to Homekit and still no luck.

The doorbell has to be synced to the basestation for the Homekit to work. Is your doorbell synced to the basestation?

Yes. Are you saying they fixed the issue and it should work now?

Yes @Bilsky805 it should be able to connect to the homekit now as long as the doorbell is synced to the basestation. I can do a token reset if needed, just let me know.

I unpaired/repaired the device and still can’t pair from homekit. The device doesn’t show up when attempting to add an accessory.

I've sent a token reset request to your base station that should resolve the issue. Please reboot your base station (remove and reapply power) allow the base station to come back online and try setting up HomeKit again using these instructions:

How do I connect my Arlo device to Apple HomeKit?

Thanks I will try. I already have my Arlo on homekit, will I need to remove it and resetup as new with the instructions below?

If it is not working correctly then, yes.

I removed the Arlo completely from HomeKit and added as new. When adding it only found my 2 cameras I already have but did not find the doorbell camera. I tried adding a new accessory from HomeKit but it’s not finding the camera.
Seems to be doing the same as prior. What am I missing here?

If you are unable to add it that way you will need to reset the basestation, and then follow the steps I provided. Please keep in mind that the cameras will have to be added back on.

I removed all devices from my Arlo app, re configured them back and added them back to HomeKit. I’m still only getting the 2 cameras I already have to be added to HomeKit and not the doorbell camera.

Did you reset the basestation as well or only the cameras?

I’m all set I contacted support. The doorbell was connected to WiFi and not the base station.

thanks
