I just added a second video doorbell… I can put the original doorbell in standby mode from the app. However I cannot figure out how to put the second one on standby? Anyone have this issue or know how?

Standby, Armed Home and Armed Away are system modes that control all cameras (+ doorbells).
You can edit these modes, but you can't add any more. Unfortunately only three modes don't allow you to control both doorbells separately (you need four modes for that).
You can work around this by going into the mode you are using, and selecting the doorbell you wan to disarm. Then turn off the "motion detected" control. You do have to remember to turn it back on when you want to rearm it.
Note that the doorbell will still sound the chime and call you when someone presses it. If you want to disable that feature, you need to go into the silent mode setup in the doorbell settings.
