Ring doorbell fully charged dead within a week.
Lost connectivity once charged had to full reset remove device. Really what a mess.
Chime2. Worked for a week and now won't connect.
Setsup with mobile app to temp arlo WiFi network.
Chime sees all my neighbours 2.4g networks. Won't detect my Vodafone 2.4g which is on, manual connect fails yes typed name correctly which is simply VODA 2.4g. Doesn't see any WiFi extenders which are on the same network. Yet every other WiFi appliance in the house is working seemlessly.
Needless to say sending back for a refund as spent 4 hours round in circles resetting chime, doorbell, router. Waste of my bloody time.
On initial install firmware updated and was all good.Worked for 1 week.
Not sure if the doorbell having a 20% power left was impacting it but I don't see how as the chime will not connect to the router anyway. Yes 2.4g is on. Mobile 2.4g connected to same network on same 2.4g access point ie router.
Uselss and frustrated.
Tried adding manually
Typing VODA 2.4 and the correct password neither have any special characters.
Going to try the full rest in the chime.
Device has been removed from the app.
Was amazing when it worked.
Now it's a a piece of expensive plastic that's heading back. Shame cause the angle was better than ring but mist neighbours have rung and can't understand why this unit is such a pain in the arse.

OK frustration over and humble pie served.
Finally found some time to contact support sorted in 5 mins.
In short and it makes sense.
Android in this case.
Switch off mobile data.
Make sure you're phone is connected to the WiFi you want the arlo device to see.
Ensure auto reconnect is disabled for any existing WiFi points so if the phone drops connectivity on a glitch it doesn't auto connect mobile WiFi to another WiFi point.
Reset the unit sync or factory reset.
Voila as the mobilephone is connected to the same WiFi point you want the unit to see (and if in my base the Chime2) will then see the WiFi you want to connect to.
Solved.

MFX,
It sounds like you may need to factory reset your Chime 2 before attempting to onboard it again. Follow the instructions listed here: https://kb.arlo.com/000061879/How-do-I-reset-my-Arlo-Chime-or-Chime-2

I've now tried this in 3 locations.
Within 1 foot from the main router.
I have 2 lan leads also which both have WiFi extenders which our TV, ovens, dishwasher, soundbars, fridge, freezer, laptops, mobile phones. all see.
The arlo has been factory reset and removed from the app over and over.
Why is it not seeing the same WiFi it was seeing over a week ago..
Why will the doorbell connect but not the chime?
I have tried connecting the Chime2 via the router and WiFis within the app and also via the doorbell.
The Chime2 is simply no longer seeing any routers or WiFi connections within the home.
Nothing has changed.

Are you using an iPhone for the install? If so, which one?
There was a problem with some iPhone models - and there was a workaround for it, but I don't think the mods published it here. Not sure if that has been fixed in the app yet.

Hi sorry for delay didn't get a notification.
Android Samsung s20ultra.
Have tried again and reset.
Ordered a replacement from amazon to see if it's the chime or the unit. Will comeback and update with progress.
Thankyou.
As a footnote why is this issue still prevelant from as early as 2019.
The doorbells fine.
So I can't see how the phone would be am issue.
Clearly highlights issue with the chime firmware.
Anyway will update when new unit arrives. Thanks

The issue I was thinking of was limited to a couple of iPhone models. So your problem is somethinig else.
Do you have a subscription? If you do, have you tried Arlo support?

OK new ones working and setup.
Sees all my WiFi at home.
So good.
Day 1 hoping this one lasts.
I believe something with the firmware messed it up.
Cant be my phone as new one sees it.
Old one wouldn't work after resets, uninstalled and reinstalled software.
Let's see if this one lasts more than a week.
Failing that it's going back.
Thanks for help.
But I really don't understand why something so simple has absorbed a ridiculous amount of my life for a chime.
Needs to be looked into.
Certainly won't be doing the subscription until I'm comfortable it's all working as it should be.

OK so less than 12 hours over night the new Chime2 has orange light flashing.
Factory reset using sync.
Removed device from aelo and disconnected from doorbell.
Guess what folks... Not seeing any of the registered WiFi in our home yet again. Same as the old u it. Seeing everyone's else not mine.
Least the last one lasted as week. Feeling bloody foolish here and wasting time.
Not working.
Doorbells fine.
Everyother WiFi device in the home is fine.
Chime2 is not connecting or connected.
Total junk. I'm I really the only person this is happening to?
Really not good enough sending back for a full refund, not fit for purpose.
