I've just got a new chime 2 for my dorbell.

I try to connect it, i am scanning the qr code and i am stuck there.

I can see that my devices (samsung fold or samsung tab) are connecting to the temporarry arlo wifi network but all the process its stops there.

Obs:

- i am on a 2.4 network...

- i've installed and reinstaled the app

- i tryed all the steps for instalation near the router

- i've tryed to install it on 2 different devices.....

It's frustrating. I need advice .... whats wrong?

Make sure the phone's settings are to allow connection to unknown/unprotected networks for this to work. Disable that afterwards if you don't normally want it on.

I recently had to reinstall my Chime 2, and had issues.

I found two workarounds that has solved it for me:

1) Set up your router/wifi to only broadcast 2.4 Ghz (and switch off the 5Ghz) if it broadcasts in dual bands

2) My iPhone 14 cannot make the Chime connect to the Wifi, but I can do it via my old iPhone 7. It makes no sense, but for some reason, my old iPhone 7 can easily connect the Chime to my router, but I can never do it with my newer iPhone.

These two fixes solved it for me.

A possibility for the new phone - check the phone's network settings to see if it allows the phone to connect to unknown/unsecured networks.
