I have had a 2K second gen doorbell for about 6 months using battery power. It is also connected to an Arlo chime. I want to change it over to being hardwired to a transformer so I don't have to remove and recharge so often. Can I just wire it up or do I have to uninstall the doorbell and reinstall?

Given your currently described environment, I see no reason why simply adding the wires wouldn't work fine.

@kjowers - I also think this should work without needing to reinstall the doorbell. But if you also add a traditional chime at the same time, then I think you would need to reinstall.
