IMG_0035.jpegIMG_0036.jpegI am not sure why my basestation isn't recording and save to my microsd. It used to save many clips in this microsd but now it isn't recording anymore. I have another samsung microsd and it recorded about 230gb of videos then it stopped completely then i connected my essential xl cameras from my wifi to this station then it started to record again. then i placed this new memory in and it hasn't recorded for like a day. i even formatted the memory to exfat on my laptop and formatted again using my station and the memory always has like around 750mb out of around 980gb. it has been at 758.38mb used of 982.30 gb.

FWIW, it has to be FAT32, not exfat.

Just to double-check:

  1. Is the system armed?
  2. Have you tried browsing the card on a PC?  That is useful to sort out whether you have a recording problem or a playback problem.

yes, it is mostly arm away. i formatted using my laptop. what software or how can i format it to fat32? i just right clicked on the card on my laptop and then format i think and a small window pooped up with exfat and another one is nfts or something like that so i used exfat.

what software can i use safely for the fat32 format?

It can be done from the Windows CMD line interface - googling will give you the details.

There are several other tools, including this one:

i followed a guide on youtube and converted to fat32 but the system is still not recording. it is still the same 758.31mb used of 982.30gb.

I think you format the SD card, using the "format SD card" button in the ARLO app screen that you happened to share.

How much memory is on the card?  What brand is it?

A lot of the 1+ TB cards are scams (not holding the amount of storage they claim).  They misbehave in various ways.  Some have branding that looks like a mainstream brand, others do not.

There are some test tools you can use to check for that - one is here:

Oh wow I didn’t know there are fake ones. Possible mine is fake. I bought it from Ebay. Back then, my system used to record videos to this San Disk microsd and all of a sudden it stopped after probably less than 100 videos. Then I switched back to my samsung one and it recorded up to around 230gb of videos then it stopped as well. Then i reconnect my essential xl cameras to my base station after learning that the updates make it possible to. The system started to record to the samsung microsd so i took it out trying to preserve some memories. I put this san disk in and it has been not recording. Let see if I can figure out if this is a fake or a real microsd.
