I have two ultra cameras. Both seem to work properly for a while, detecting and recording motion etc.
Then, randomly one or both stop detecting and recording videos.
I’m using local SSD storage.
Reached out to arlo support a few times. They gave me the usual runaround - take out battery, swap cameras, remove and add etc. Nothing works permanently.
I think there’s a defect in the cameras that makes them lose sync with the base randomly and stop working. Also twice this has happened on weekends - not sure if that is a coincidence.
The arlo cameras seem to have good features but are of no use as a security device if they do not work reliably.

As I mentioned above, I have tried:
1- Restarting devices
2. Taking out batteries and putting them back
3. Swapping cameras
Sometimes the above work .. but why is there not permanent solution?
As a customer , why would I be doing these things?
What do I do if I have if this issue happens when I am away from my home on vacation ?

Temporarily move a camera closer to the hub or router its connected to. Does the problem disappear?

I could not carry out the actions you suggested since we were out and no one was at home.
However, the cameras restarted recording.. around the time you first posted your response. Not sure what happened.
