jsturess,
You can manually trigger the spotlight, or trigger when motion is detected.
For more information, see here: How does the spotlight on my Arlo camera work?

Sorry I was unclear @JamesC
I am talking about automatic triggering and not manual.
For example when I am at home and its dark outside I want the light to be triggered by movement. And when i am away and its dark, the system is armed and now i dont want the light to be triggered. I cant find any way to configure this, either you have light on when it's dark or you haven't, I only want it when the system is not armed.
So what I want to be able to do is to configure the light for each mode.
Maybe the feature is there but I dont know hot to configure it??

jsturess,
The spotlight has two methods of being triggered. Manual activation via live stream or motion detection. If the spotlight is set up to be triggered on motion detection, this will happen whenever a rule engages detecting motion in a low light environment. The only way to engage the spotlight when the system is not armed is through manual activation.
