I have the Arlo, Arlo Pro 2, and ultra camera systems and bases and have had them for over 3 years.

I bought those because of the local storage and the savings of not having to pay a subscription fee.

I don't know why Arlo would change the policy of needing to buy a plan to have more than 5 cameras.

This is extortion and not very consumer-friendly, I was loyal and committed support of the Arlo products, but this changes everything I will never recommend or support Arlo again.

I will make it a point to get the word out as to how Arlo treats its customers.

Thanks for nothing to show you are a company to support.

I can see now why stocks have tanked.

The Arlo , pro, Pro2 cameras can all be used under a Basic level ( free ) with 7 days storage... ( more storage if a pro/pro2 base with usb backup ) as long as there are no more than 5 cameras.

With the newer Ultra, after trail it is a paid service...

But what you can do is set up two accounts, the older cams for free ( 5 max ) and the Ultra in its own account which is paid....Share the Ultra account to the other so you only pay for the one new camera
