Problem

The problem I have is that all recordings are successfully stored on locally on the Smarthub however some recordings do not make it to the cloud.

 

Hardware

  • 4 x Ultra
  • All Firmware: 1.070.53.3_6_297b17b
    • Hardware: H8
  • 1 x SmartHub
    • Firmware: 1.25.1.0_1769_1f1c874, Hardware: VMB5000r4
    • Connected via LAN cable not WiFi
Other
  • I do not have any actvity zones defined, as there is no need.
  • The Smarthub has a fixed IP address
  • Checking the network logs on my Ubiquiti shows no errors
Subscription
I've lived with this for quite sometime however now with the increase in the subscription fees, I'm considering canceling my subscription, write all data and to the Smarthub and simply change my network settings, so that I can access the local storage remotely. Not ideal however if the writing to the cloud is intermittment, there is no point in continuing to pay for this service.
 
Any thoughts what I need to check/change?

Try playing some of the recordings that aren't getting to the cloud.  It might be best to eject the storage and connect it to a PC for this check.  VLC is a useful player for this purpose.

 

Look for signs that there are errors in the recordings - artifacts in the video, freezes, stutters, or even no video at all.

 

Also, see if this is happening with all your cameras or just one or two.
