I've noticed that the MP4 files downloaded from my Ultra cameras are missing the "Encoded Date" and "Tagged Date" in their metadata. This is pretty surprising and annoying considering this is a pretty important bit of metadata for potential legal issues. And also for sorting the files locally, if downloaded in batch.
In contrast to the Ultra, I've checked the metadata on MP4 files from my ArloBaby cameras, and those do have
the "Encoded Date" and "Tagged Date" metadata.
SEE BELOW for two full MediaInfo examples.
So what is it about the Ultra cameras that causes the files to have missing Encoded Date metadata?
And is there any way to fix this?
thanks.

Looking all the way back, even into the Ultra beta, I don't find any date/time embedded in any of the Ultra videos so it appears that it was never stored for whatever reason. Note that the filename, depending on the platform used to download the video, has the epoch time as (part of) the filename.

thanks for the confirmation. its good to know this issue is not just something with my configuration.
i still find it really weird that these MP4 files don't have this metadata embedded, and we
also don't have an option to burn in a timestamp on the video itself.
these are security cameras right? 😕
