Lost my desktop where I was able to watch my 4k videos via Chrome on Windows 10. Now trying to watch on my laptop (Windows 10) with no luck. Error: "This video is not able to play in your browser. Please Download to view". Updated to current version of Chrome (Version 114.0.5735.134 (Official Build) (64-bit)) and same issue. Able to watch video from Arlo original camera, but no go with Ultra (4k) and Pro 3 (2k).

Too old and won't support 2k/4k recordings. You must download to view or use the app.

It's a browser issue - without hardware support for 2k/4k the browser can't play them. CHeck this thread for more info:

I am getting the same error messages. I am using Microsoft Edge and Windows 11. I was able to view a few videos but then suddenly they all say this. This happened within the same browser session. I am able to use the browser application using Chrome.

Not sure on the current status here, but Edge used to require a Microsoft HEVC extensions app. Cost was $0.99
But first double-check that Edge is set to use hardware acceleration.

Did you see the part where I said I was able to view videos and then in the same session I was not?
It is working again in Microsoft Edge and I did nothing except wait several hours.

I did. But it wasn't clear whether the videos you could view were 2K or 4K. 1080p or below will play in any browser.
For instance, manual recordings are 1080p. And if auto track and zoom is enabled for a camera, then it also records 1080p.

Not sure if this is the same problem but it seems to have many similar symptoms plus a few
My Arlo system is a day old. Most settings are default, no automations have been set.
I assume it's recording in 4K as no auto zoom or manual recordings have been used.
PC is a few months old and decent spec, fibre into the house so not in internet problem, Windows 11, drivers and browsers are all up to date. I have reasonable pc security, but disabling it doesn't seem to help: VPN, Anti virus, firewall, UBlockOrigin, Cookies etc
The annoying thing is it was working yesterday and crashed part way through watching today. Going back to the same clips that I had viewed a few seconds before, without chaning any settings, failed to an error message. Now Firefox doesn't play recordings or live video, in summary:
The results from using FireFox, trying to watch a feed: "This video is unable to play in your browser".
When I try to download, it saves a single frame - a 90Kb image, not a video but in MP4 format which won't play on the Windows native viewer but displays on VLC
Earlier today it was able to connect to the cameras live but now that isn't working either.
Edge - plays feeds but gives an error message when I try to download - "The request timed out".
When I try to connect live to cameras I get an "unexpected error occured try again. "
Chrome: Playing the feed works unless I try to zoom in, in which case it crashes and I get a black screen in place of the picture.
Trying to download gives the same "The request timed out" error message.
Trying to view live gives the "unexpected error" message.
Tried turning it off and back on again - rebooted PC, same problem
Managed to download one clip one time using Chrome, but haven't managed to get it to work again and I'd prefer to use Firefox which was doing everything other than downloading but now does very little
