My Arlo Ultra is very efficient at capturing number plates during the day time, but at night time it is impossible to read number plates - see attached pic.

Prob to much reflection/ wash out from headlights.... surprised you can get plates in day, it is a hard thing to do.
Morse is faster than texting!

I can get plates in the day in the zone I need to get them in. I can also get them in 4K live and when saved on memory card in hub. This is the reason I bought the Ultra.

I personally think the "color night vision" with the spotlight is crap. My picture is horrible with that on - you might try leaving it off and let the IR diodes do their thing for the night vision. The picture and detail is vastly more clear with the spotlight off! I can see license plate numbers 20-30' away with the color off.
