After the latest update app update. Arlo ultra now shows live 2K instead of live 4K on my local network. The Arlo ultra 2 shows 4K. What's up with that

What plan do you have?

I don't need to have a plan to have 4K on my local network. With the Arlo ultra camera

Yes, but if you have a plan for the camera it is useful to know what it is.  This behavior is expected if the camera is in a secure plan (but not secure plus or no plan).

I recently updated to Arlo secure. That does not explain why my ultra camera over my local network is now showing 2K instead of 4K live view. While my other camera the ultra 2 is showing 4K in live view on my local area network

Would you l like to explain to me why this is expected. I have Arlo ultra cameras over my local area network I should be getting 4K live view not 2K. The two ultra cameras that I have are now showing 2K instead of 4K. My Arlo ultra 2 camera is showing 4K. This is in live view not recordings over my local area network

I'm not saying it is desirable.  Just that it works that way.

Are you saying that you do have a secure plan for the Ultra camera (not secure plus)?

I have Arlo secure. Why would that affect me viewing my cameras at home on Wi-Fi over my local area network. I have two ultra cameras that are now showing 2K live view. And I have one ultra 2 camera that's showing 4K live view. We're not talking about recordings which I know are 2K cloud with Arlo secure

I don't work for Arlo, and I don't know why they chose to do this.

But this has been discussed here before - for example here: https://community.arlo.com/t5/Arlo-Ultra/Cannot-live-stream-in-4k-Anyone-else-having-the-same-issue/...  There are several other threads on this issue.

The puzzle in your case is why you are getting 4K on the Ultra 2 (assuming it also is under the secure subscription).

Yes all cameras are under the same subscription plan. But on your local network you still should be getting 4K. I'm not talking about cloud recordings which I know are 2K. And I'm not talking about recordings off my SD card which I know are 2K

Okay if this is the way it should be with Arlo secure definitely ridiculous I should be getting 4k on my local network I don't know why they would take that away
