Hello, I'm having trouble charging my Arlo Ultra camera. At first when I tried connecting it to my Smarthub, the hub wasnt receiving any signals from any of the 3 cameras. I figured it may be due to a lack of charge since they haven't been used in over 3 years. When I plug the magnetic charging cable into the bottom of the camera (VMC 5040), it just flashes 3 LED lights once and shuts off. It flashes 2 red LEDs and the blue LED on the right side of the lens (looking at the front face directly). Does someone have an idea why this is happening and how to fix it? I dont want to buy 3 new batteries or anything until I've figured out what's wrong with the cameras. Thank you!

Does the LED flashing happen on all cameras or just one? It's possible that the low batteries could be causing this, especially if happening on all cameras. Try this FAQ to see if it helps even though it's not specifically for any other cameras. The key is to plug and unplug multiple times to get enough charge into the batteries to then allow them to charge normally.

It happens to all 3 cameras. I'm using the Arlo charging block and magnetic cable that came with it to charge it, so I dont think it's an issue of not enough voltage or current being supplied to the battery. Like I mentioned before, I plug the wire in, then two red lights flash and 1 blue light flash flash, both only happen once.

If the batteries were in storage for three years, then they likely ended up fully discharged.  That can make it hard to charge them.

You can try the old procedure for the Pro that @jguerdat posted.  Or potentially get a stand-alone charger (either Arlo's or a third party).
