Arlo Ultra 4K video quolity not working for me.

I must be doing something wrong so I am not getting better quality videos out of my new Arlo Ultra camera. Comparing the live streaming of Arlo Q+ and Arlo Ultra zoomed at max Arlo Q looks much better to me. Not to mention the license plates that I was hoping to get with Ultra. 

Any suggestions?

Don't forget that you can brighten the view from any camera. The method depends on whether using the app or a browser.

Also, the Ultra has a much wider angle view than the Q, which is evident from your screenshot. You can change the FOV in the camera settings but I don't know if that will help - test.

I was expecting a plug & play device rather than me spending so much time evaluating the camera. The motion detection is far inferior to the one Q+ has and has not better video quality than neither Q+ nor Pro2 cameras. I have opened a ticket with tech support. By the time they respond the camera (and the hub) will be on the way back to Amazon. Had a high hopes but now quite disappointed 😞

No problem. You must realize that the Q camera uses pixel change detection while every other camera uses a PIR sensor so there's a major difference in detection. Video quality needs to be compared using the various cameras' angle of view as well as the compression used. Apples to apples comparisons are needed.
