I have an Arlo (basic cameras and base station) and want to upgrade the outside camera's only. If I upgrade 2 camera's to the Arlo Ultra would I have to then purchase a new base station for them? I will be using the basic arlo cameras in the house still.
If so then I may as well look at other brands and get a complete new system which seems crazy.

Tinkabell,
To sync Ultra cameras, you will need a VMB5000 SmartHub. The will not sync to previous generation base stations. For more information on this, take a look here: Is Arlo Ultra backwards compatible with my existing Arlo system?
