Since the iOS app version 5.4.1, Arlo/Verisure obviously no longer allows local recordings that can be called up in the system. This feature was given with the purchase of the system and at least two years without any problems possible. It is currently possible for Arlo/Verisure to force its customers into the conclusion of paid cloud solutions.

This situation is unacceptable and cannot be reconciled with current EU law.

Who has the same theme?

Have you tried 5.4.2?  There was a bug in the app that Arlo fixed.

Yes, tried 5.4.2… not working!

And tried 5.4.3… not working still!

Was working for 2 Years till Arlo programmers came up with new software..! Please get this fixed! What is a surveillance system worth if it does not do surveillance?

Are you seeing "Feed" and "Dashboard" in the app menu?  Or are you instead seeing "Library"?

If you see "Feed" have you tried

  1. going to the "Devices" screen
  2. pressing on the base station tile
  3. selecting "Storage settings"

All tried… no results!

The Feed Tab shows ‚Cloud‘ and ‚Local‘..

‚Local‘ always showed the surveillance video‘s prior SW Version 5.4.1. Since version 5.4.1. just empty. So, it‘s your software, it’s not a hardware issue!

What‘s your Kaizen approach now?

Did you eject the drive from the hub to verify new recordings are being made?

Yes, of course! And all new video‘s are stored!

Using a device with old ARLO SW level shows all video‘s via the Arlo App!

GUYS, fix your software and don‘t bombard customers with questions and no answers!

This is a user-to-user forum, and neither @jguerdat nor I work for Arlo.  So it's not our software.

Hi @Screener18

The Arlo development team is currently investigating reports of this behavior. We will provide an update as soon as we have more information to share with the community.

In the meantime you can try the following workaround: Can you Hard close the Arlo app > Open the Arlo app again > Make sure to not click the the "Feeds" button >  Navigate to the Devices screen > Verify the Base station is Online > Once Online, You can now navigate to the Feeds > Local recordings should be visible again.

Hi ShayneS,

thx for your feed…does not work either. Seems SourceCode relevant. Version 5.3.4 still allows the function, since version 5.4.1 all gone..  Overall, what is a surveilance system worth that‘s not capturing surveilance evidence.. not much, right! ASP should recongnize and get it fixed..
