Ok so we have put off doing the upgrade that they are insisting we do (when the old way, the library and being able to see one camera's videos at once, is just fine). What will be the differences? I saw there will be a feed instead of individual camera library.

Is it going to take a day to re-program how each individual camera operates? We want all of them at 100% motion for anything and 5 audio settings. And how many other settings are we going to have to change?

We have put it off because of the threads about how many things are going wrong with users not able to do individual cameras at other settings and not being able to stop a video during playback and slowly drag through it to see details. Is this going to be a problem when we upgrade?

And are the thumbnails going to be showing 10-15 seconds into the video start as they do now so that you have to look at every one to see what triggered the camera? (I absolutely hate that!) Should show the darned car not 12 seconds after it has passed!

Thanks for the hints in advance.

The "Library" interface allows you to create as many custom modes as you want.  "Feed" doesn't allow any custom modes.  You can modify the three buit-in modes, but you cannot create more.  Arlo says they will be bringing back custom modes, so if you have them now then I suggest waiting until the roll that out.

Scheduling is different - not better or worse (assuming custom modes), just different.

Geofencing+Scheduling doesn't quite work - with "Feed", the system does not immediately follow the schedule when you return.  Instead you need pick a specific mode that the system switches too, and it will stay in that mode until the next scheduled time.

So we should just keep ignoring the 'Upgrade to Continue' until then? I'm all for that! We don't time schedule any cameras as we just usually have them on highest settings all of the time, so that will be easy to make them all the same.

Is it true that we will not be able to stop videos and playback slowly and zoom in on certain parts?

You can migrate to "Feed" now if your cameras are always armed, and you don't use custom modes.  The interface does work somewhat differently, but you shouldn't run into any new issues.

Or you can just keep ignoring it - Arlo will eventually migrate you anyway.

The video controls work the same way, so you can pause playback and zoom.   There is no speed control (in either interface), but you can use the slider to navigate through the recording.

The image size on the "Feed" page is quite a bit smaller than the "Library" page, but you can still go to full screen when you watch a recording (or livestream).

Thank you so much for your knowledge and time! Will wait until we get new modem and router set up to upgrade (we rarely use phone app as we prefer desktop),

I've had my Arlo 2 cameras for about 3 years and I agree, I like the old software better than the new software. You almost have to be a computer geek to enjoy the new version with all the new functions of the new software. When I receive an alert, I want a simple, quick work through, an immediate check on my videos, cameras and notifications. The new software is so integrated with tabs, widgets, and non user friendly options that it makes the update tedious, and aggravating to deal with when decisions and actions need to be reviewed, and or acted upon.

With all that said, the cameras and video quality is superb.

So in my opinion, the update is not intuitive or user friendly. It's an irritation that I put up with to have a great security camera system.
