All colours in recorded videos and images are purple. Switching camera off then on again solves this issue for a short time, then the purple issue returns again.

Sounds like the nightvision filter might be getting stuck in the wrong position.

 

Is the camera under warranty (5 years)?

 

One workaround you can try is turning nightvision off.

thanks for your reply, it appears that I will have to claim warranty, as the night vison facility is something I rely on.
