So after a long painful chat with support, i figured out that after the trial subscription ends you have to pay for a subscription in order to view any video recordings. Legacy cameras will still provide 7 days of viewable cloud recordings and local storage.

So now I get notifications without any video evidence. Notifications are worthless without video content.

If I am not home (away from my phone/computer) and receive a notification that someone is breaking into my house, but can't record the video, then the camera is useless unless I PAY for a subscription to see MY video.

If I am incorrect in my understanding, please let me know.

Yes for cloud recordings you need a subscription after your "Smart Trial" runs out for the Pro3 and newer cams including your Ultra 2. You can use local storage to record.

What is Direct Storage Access and how do I use it? (arlo.com)

How was about to boy the Ultra 2 but, after reading this, I've changed my mind.

No seven days free storage!!!!

Arlo has no respect for there customers!

Things change over time, not uncommon. This change was several years ago with newer cameras then the Pro2.
