I have a total of five cameras (Two Ultra 2 and three Pro 2) connected to my base station. Recently, I have been experiencing a situation where, when I am looking at a live image on our mobile phones (both Samsung androids) from one of the cameras and pinch zoom in for a larger image, the image on the phone screen slowly begins moving on its own (sometimes left or right, other times up or down) all the way to the side. This is extremely frustrating, especially when I am keeping an eye on my disabled wife at night when she is in bed sleeping and I am in the living room. It is pretty much impossible to make sure she is doing ok when I zoom in a bit on her and the image starts drifting out of the center of the screen, usually all the way to the edge of the screen, to where my wife is no longer even visible. I've tried rebooting the base station, re-syncing the cameras to the base station, and turning our Wi-Fi modem/router off & on numerous times with no success in eliminating the drifting images. The firmware on all of our devices is up to date, our Wi-Fi signal is strong, and the auto-tracking/zoom function is turned off in the cameras. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the live images to stay stationary on the screen after I've zoomed in on something a little bit? Thanks for whatever assistance you can give me.

I just got done upgrading my Arlo App to that new version. I'm very happy to report that the drifting image problems with my system has been fixed. Hooray! I just wanted to once again express my thanks to everyone who responded to my original post about this issue, and who looked into the problem and got an answer for all of us who had been experiencing the bothersome image movements.

Hi @JP-FR, @bbguy , @BillinSoCal ,
Great to hear that 5.5.0_28795 has fixed the drifting issue with playback.
Just when I was about to update to 5.5.0, it seems to be also introducing another issue about no way to pause and continue playback, as raised by @Trusti and @gbaranko .
Do you guys see this issue with your 5.5.0_28795?

I'm also not able to pause any recorded video in my library. Don't know if this started happening when I upgraded to the most recent version (5.5.0_28795) or not.

@Trusti and @gbaranko , are you using the "library" or "feed" version of the ARLO app?
Also, wondering if any "feed" user is having this issue (of not able to pause recorded video, while playing)?

Hello,
I just checked some of my video clips, and I noted that when playing back the recordings, I was not able to pause the videos. This was the case whether I was playing back video clips in the "Cloud" or "Local" options. With the new app that I just installed a few days ago, I only have the "Feed" function at the bottom of my screen. I could not find the "Library" function anywhere in the app.

thanks for the update. Apparently the newly introduced bug has made the situation worse, even though a minor bug (of silly panning) has been fixed.
I will stay with my 5.4.2_28786 here, and NOT be updating to the worse 5.5.0

My wife and I have the library version.
Arlo app version 5.5.0_28795
But even before that it didn't work. Plus app crash.
Not just for me, but also for my wife. And as I learned from Reddit and the reviews on the Google App Store, quite a a lot of people have this and other problems.
I want the pre-2025 version. At least it all worked then.
Everything that came in 2025 only made it worse.
If things don't get better again i will throw it all out and buy something else.

Hello, BrookeN,
I no longer have the problem with the images drifting. The latest version of the Arlo app app seems to have fixed that issue. I have noticed a new annoying thing going on with my system, though. When playing back the recorded video clips in the "Feed" section, I am unable to pause the video to get a better look at what triggered the camera to record a moving object. The video just plays back from beginning to end, with no way to freeze the video. This makes it hard, to impossible, to get a clear look at who or what was recorded passing through the camera's field of view. Perhaps you can research this new problem and figure out a way for us to pause our recorded videos during playback? Thanks for your assistance.

Hi @BillinSoCal , I remember you reporting this "can't pause" issue back message 29. (That was before this recent 5.5.2)
What version are you now with, still having this "can't pause" issue?

Hi, BrookeN,
I just spotted your note in the inbox. I did a quick check, and it looks like the problem with the pause function on video playbacks has been fixed. So, I think that my system is now functioning properly. That's good news to all of is in the Arlo community. Thanks again for your assistance with getting things rolling for us all.
