I purchased by 4 arlo vmc5040 cameras back in Dec 2022 and 2 ultra3 floodlights.   After roughly 1.5 years use, I have a floodlight and 2 vmc5040 cameras that won't charge.  Seems to have happened all in the last month or two.

- Does anyone know of anything, like an update that may have caused this?

- Anyone know the lifespan of the typical VMC5040 battery?

Basically - anyone know what could be causing this.  I have done all the steps the chat bot suggest to get the batteries to charge and they just wont charge.

I have such batteries that are several years old with no loss yet. I would guess there's an issue with the connectors on the cable and camera which may be solved by using denatured alcohol to clean them. Make sure the cameras are fully inserted into the cases - the camera face should be flush with the edge of the case. BTW, there's no such thing as an Ultra 3 regardless of being a floodlight. I suspect you mean a Pro 3 floodlight.

You might want to use the charging station (with at least 1 extra battery) to charge.

Thank you for the quick response. Yes, I meant the Pro 3.   The Denatured alcohol worked for at least one of the cameras.  I will try the others.  I appreciate the suggestion!!
