So frustrated...

How in the heck does one view camera feeds from another day with out it reverting back to current day every 5 seconds???

Trying to find a video from Tuesday morning and I cannot even look long enough to find it and it goes to Monday or today's feed.

And when are they going to bring back the 'star' for important videos???

You can't! You have to scroll down until you eventually get there. Good luck with that if you have hundreds of recordings.

It's yet another issue amongst he multitude of many.

It's a joke.

I'm not surprised that here in the UK, neither John Lewis nor Currys sell Arlo products anymore.

Just wondering -

  • do you have a subscription?
  • are you getting more notifications while you are looking?

I am particularly wondering if this is related to the ads being updated when you have no subscription.

If you know the camera, then pressing the camera's video tile on the devices page might help, as it would only show videos from that one camera.

No @StephenB this is not related to the ads, although I know you're directing your response to the OP.

Simply put: go to Feed (on Android), select the calendar icon in the top right corner and choose yesterday. Then (this is an important step!) choose any video to play it from the list (other than the one at the top of the list). The outcome is that the feed doesn't play a video from that day but refreshes with today's videos.

I was assured by Arlo Care Team that the app I have is no beta release. With all due respect, there shouldn't have to be any workarounds etc. This is supposed to be a fully working commercial product, but it's not fit for purpose.

FWIW, I'm not seeing that with iOS.

How does the "reverting back to current day every 5 seconds???" bit fit in?

I just tried this on ANdroid with no such result. It played the video and returned to yesterday's display.

I just accepted the trying to go to another day as a hassle and I just scroll down on that camera to the day I want.

I do have the subscription for I believe it's the 2nd to the highest package.

What we really are in need of is the ability to "star" specific videos again like in the Library system or to be able to put them in a 'bucket' set aside for viewing later. So tired of writing sticky notes with times on them for review at a later time by one of us.

And we need the thumbnails to be able to enlarge another 40% so we can see details at a glance easier to know if we want to watch them.

If you hold your finger down on the video in feed you can mark it as a favorite.  And for the thumbnails when you add a widget to your home screen you can choose if you want that image large or small.

@BrookeN over the weekend, I'll send you a screen recording of what the OP means in their initial post. The latest update doesn't address the issue.

When I mark a video as a favorite and go back to the feed, how does my husband know what to look at or how do I find that favorite video again without going through all of the feed again and jotting down the time and camera? The old library used to have a yellow star shape to signify a favorite so we could see at a glance what to view.

And the small or large item is only for the camera view on dashboard page not for all of the thumbnails of video to scroll through on the feed. The make 15% larger option is just not enough even on a PC to see details. This is why we cannot ever use the phone app as things are just too small.

You can filter it to look only for the favorite video.  There is a filter section it has a circle with lines on the right hand side. When you click on that there is a lot of options on how you would like to view your videos including favorites.
