I have a 7 camera system comprised of 5 Ultra cameras, 2 Ultra 2 cameras, and 2 VMB5000 base/smarthubs. All firmware has been updated. All 7 cameras are operating off the older smarthub, and the newer hub has no devices shown. I have tried to sync by removing the Cat 5 cable from one hub, and syncing the new hub. I have a strong router signal to both.

Yes...
get both bases online first at opposite ends of home ( or where you want ) ...then use Remove Device on first base for cameras you want to move, sync those cameras to the second base.
the only true way to expand coverage area is with multi bases ( on cameras that need base unit )

The two hubs both need Ethernet / internet access via extender and will operate separately ( while both still being in app )...
for cameras you need to use remove device and the sync those wanted to the second hub. ( usu the cameras closest to the second hub )
