I recently upgraded my phone app after logging on to the Arlo site. In the past I would get a notification and shortly after was able to see the locally stored video of the alert. This no longer happens with the new app. I get notifications but no video. I have removed and re-added the Ultra 2 cameras, but still only get notifications - no videos. I am about to get rid of these as they just do not work. Any suggestions on what changed and how to get them fully operational again?

are you seeing "library" or "feed" from the app?

The old app had libraries - the new app has feeds. I am on the new app and see a Feed button.  I just got another alert but no video update for 1/22 at the Feed

The "feed" button is a bit buggy regarding showing local recordings (as for my android version 5.3.3_28779).  Basically, you have to click "feed", then something else (say "dashboard"), then "feed" again (and you now see "local"!), then "local" --- and then wait some 1-2 seconds, before you can see the local recordings.  And then the timestamp with the recordings can be sometimes wrong or misleading.

 

Very annoying, eh? 😉

The easier way is to go to "Devices" >> (the smarthub) >> storage settings.  Local recording are all correct here.

---WOW - that was not clear when I looked earlier. That is MUCH better than the FEED option. Thanks- that really helps, I now see the recordings as expected. Now to move on with more testing of the new app. Thanks for the assist!
