Have run into an annoying but not terribly serious bug with my Arlo cameras.

Devices are as in the subject line.  Arlo iOS app v 4.3 (5832).  VMB5000r6 firmware version 1.20.7.0_1396_cf4d59a.

Under Device Settings, there is a Night Vision setting to choose between black & white or color.  No matter how many times I set to to black & white, within in a short period of time (don't know exactly how long) the setting reverts to color.

It is also difficult to set black & white.  I have to repeatedly tap the black & white setting and eventually it will switch from color to black & white.

I don't see an official way to report Arlo bugs.  Hoping someone from the company follows this forum.

I'm tagging the mods ( @JamesC and @ShayneS ) for you.

A couple more details might be helpful -

  • What phone model?
  • What version of iOS?
  • Does your app show a menu option for "Library"?  Or does it show "Dashboard" and "Feed" instead?

If you have a subscription,  you might try going into the support area of the app, and using the phone support option.

iPhone 12 Pro Max, iOS 16.4

My app is the newer one, showing Dashboard and Feed.

An update:

As an experiment, I tried changing the Night Vision to black & white using the myarlo.com website instead of through the iOS app.

When I change Night Vision this way, it's sticky and persists.

Looks to me like there is some kind of issue with myarlo.com overriding the iOS app setting after a while.

Are you still experiencing this issue?

Yes, I am still experiencing this issue.

I thought that changing the night vision setting on my,arlo.com instead of in the iOS app was a fix, but it wound up that it just took a little longer to revert.

Sure looks like a bug to me.

HI,

Are you still experiencing this issue with the latest version of the App 4.4?

Thanks
