Hello,
i am thinking of buying Arlo ultra 2 kit (base with sd card slot). My
I would like to ask how Arlo ultra 2 cameras act during internet outage ? Are they keep recording and saving the footage to local storage on SD card ?
Second question: Do i need Arlo sub for recording on local storage ?

Local storage doesn't need a subscription since it's a backup method of storing videos. If the Internet is lost, videos will still be recorded locally as long as power to the hub continues to be available.

No. But there are several limitations
- Local recordings are only available in the app (not the browser)
- Local recordings are only available from the primary account (not shared accounts)
- No ability to make manual recordings or snapshots
- No thumbnails. Recordings need to be downloaded to the phone to view
- remote access requires router setting changes that many find difficult (and which don't work with some internet service providers).
Plus activity zones and smart notifications both require a subscription.

Yes. Though if power also fails, then the base shuts down. So consider getting a UPS to keep the base (and ideally your router+modem) working during power failures.
