Animal detection making battery low

I have turned of smart notifications for animals however it is still picking up our dogs multiple times a day causing our batteries to get low within 2 weeks.

Turning off notifications doesn't stop the recordings from happening. You could try reducing motion sensitivity in your modes and rules and/or reposition cameras if that's possible.

to add to above re Smart...

the car/person/animal  is determined after recording and then tested at far end to see if a notification is to be sent,

so the recording still occurs.
