Dear Arlo Customers,
Thank you for your patience. Arlo services are now fully restored. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. The disruption in service which affected some of our customers was due to a technical issue that arose during routine system maintenance.
Thank you.

Go to the top and click topic options and choose unsubscribe. I think that stopped all of my email notifications!

This seemed to have started after the apps update code push. You need to revert back to previous version and get people up and running again.

OPERATIONAL SECURITY (OPSEC)
Where are the Security Specialists assigned to provide mitigation and situational awareness information during these issues.
This is a Security System which requires professionals on staff to brief on vulnerabilities.

Pretty annoying to have to shut my base unit off so it stops recording motion. Not being able to disarm my cameras is a huge glitch in how the system works.

I don't generally enjoy repeating myself but I've tried to get Arlo users to understand this is not a professional security system. It's a toy, an impressive toy for sure, an expensive toy most certainly, but still a toy. Even when netgear is up and working the latency issue has always been a problem. Sometimes you're notified soon enough to do something about a motion alarm, sometimes the email notification takes hours. I would suggest that netgear reliability continues to be their biggest problem.

I sort of think that's a little more coincidence than anything.
For those worried about sercurity, I wouldn't sweat that. I'm pretty sure a server just took a dump and they are trying to fix it.
I'm not in any way shape or form familiar with the backend of Arlo, by I am a cyber defense specialist.

@tanagerbrdwrote:
Disappointing. Just purchased, installed cameras (holes in our siding) and this system is having issues?!!! Extremely annoyed. Not worth the money or aggravation. Another return to Bestbuy.
First of all, take a deep breath.
I've had this Arlo Pro system with 4 cameras for a year as of tomorrow 3/9.
This is the first time I've seen an outage like this.
There have been blips from time to time but nothing like this.
Whatever it is it must be serious, but they are working on it.
Since you went to all the trouble to make holes in your house, you might want to hold up and see how this pans out.
FWIW, this doesn't happen very often.

Very nice-NOT-to receive an email from arlo. I have re-booted my arlo twice thinking it was me! When the cameras work, they are very good. When they don't work, they're terrible! Fix us!

It has been 4 hrs since the outage. Totally unacceptable!
