VMB 5000 not updating firmware. Arlo support says its system problem and not a problem with my unit. Is this true?

@alex_loo At this time, it will not affect your devices and is Display related, yes. The team is still working on the fix.

My Arlo Base Station VMB4000r3 says It needs an update but the cameras battery is too low. The base station is not battery powered and all the attached cameras have at least 80% charge. What can I do to get the update?

This is a known issue and is currently awaiting a resolution via trial firmware.

The biggest problem with the "1.28.2.0_4639_53ee4a5" firmware is the failure to change the mode of the VBM4500r2 and VMB4000r3 stations.

 

Is there still no official response in arlo?

Is this any fix for this? I am experiencing the same issue. I've been in contact with Arlo support and they could not help.

I have two VMB4000r3 and both are giving the same message about, "a firmware update is required for this camera, but its battery levels are too low to proceed", when trying to update the base station. Have you found a solution for this issue yet?

This symptom should be resolved with the latest version of the Arlo app, please make sure you have the latest version and test again.

I have two Arlo VMB4000 and I'm running the most recent Arlo android app. Both base stations are showing that the firmware needs to be update, but when I try to update, I get the following error message. See images.

Hi, this symptom with the error messaging should be resolved with the latest version of the Arlo mobile app 6.23 and above. 

 

Can you make sure you are updated to the latest version available and relaunch the app and test this again.
