Because the failure of Arlo to provide a custom iOS sound notification for video alerts means their customers will sleep right through the burglary.

 

Why would I pay $17 / mo for Secure Plus with Emergency Notifications if the app won't wake me up at night to respond?

 

Many others have complained about this. What's the delay Arlo?

You may want to start eating caned baked beans so you can set the empties up on a string around the house come 1st July 2023 when email notifications are EOL
