Recording to library outside of activity zone?

Started playing with activity zones on one of my ultra cameras via my smart subscription. While i am not being notified of motion outside of the activity zone i have setup which is good, motion outside of my zone still records to the library. Is this the expected behavior?

TMK, it is one of the fixes in the works... as they get the bugs out.

At one point, yes, this was the expected bahavior for Smart Activity Zones.  All the Zone did was squelch notifications, not recordings. At the time NETGEAR confirmed this was the intended behavior.  I don't know how it's supposed to work now, and Arlo has a tendency to change these things with little notice.

Did some more testing today by running the cam on constant AC power. I was hopeful recordings would not occur outside of the activity zone but they still did. My thinking was that Arlo smart uses post processing which would require a library recording while the cam under AC power would be real time processing and not create a recording in the library. Thoughts?
