Just upgraded to the new software with automation and set up my schedules. Quick question for anyone familiar: it’s currently around 6:30 PM Pacific, and my schedule is set to Stand By. If I manually switch to “Arm Away,” will it automatically return to the scheduled mode later, or do I need to reset it myself?

I already told you how to do that. Disable your schedule automations in the Arm Away mode. Then they will only trigger in Arm Home and Standby.
This will require that you never switch to Arm Away in your schedule automations. You'll only be able to schedule switches to Arm Home or Standby.

That depends on how you set up the schedule automations. If they are enabled in "Arm Away" mode, then they will run. If they are not enabled, then the system will stay in "Arm Away" mode until you change the mode (either manually or with a geofencing "arrive" automation).

I have five automation schedules, and the “Always Enabled” section under each schedule has all three options checked (Arm Away, Arm Home, and Standby). Does this mean it will automatically switch modes when the next schedule starts?

Yes. No matter what mode you are in, the automations will run at the trigger time.
Is that what you want?

We’re a family of four with two teenagers who sometimes stay home when we’re out. Geo fencing won’t work for us unless I give all of them access. I’m hoping I can manually trigger Arm Away, but have it stay in that mode without automatically switching when the next schedule kicks in. Essentially, I’m asking for the schedules to pause until I choose to enable them again.
