The premiere is for up to five cameras. You would need a single camera plan for the sixth. If You didn't want to do that you could still get the 7 day storage for the inactive pro2 but not smart notifications or cloud activity zone on battery. Someone correct me if I am wrong about that.
EDIT: I'm assuming your talking about adding camera in your subscription settings not adding it to base.

Why am I required to join a monitoring system because I have a security system and I am using these cameras just for a visual support if anyone breaks into my home.

@SJSutton Arlo doesn't have a monitoring service. The subscriptions are for cloud storage depending on camera and smart notification settings.
