Got notification to purchase Smart for 99 cents/month but got charged for 2.99?

Hello so I got the notification to purchase arlo smart for 99 cent a month so I went and purchased well I got a statement the other day that my account was charged 2. plus dollars for arlo smart and my account says it will be charged again in sept 2.99 for my 99 cent plan have I been out smarted. 🤪 also I didn't get any billing notifications prior to arlo charging my account that I know of I should have gotten an push notification I'm thinking thanks
