My mom wants cameras in her garage. We have the CAT 6 cable to run from the house WiFi router to the garage. The garage is too far for the WiFi to reach at all. My question is, do I need to buy another router for the garage or can I just plug the Ethernet cable into the back of the Arlo Pro base station?

You only need a second base unit for the garage, etherent for same, and power..if first base doesn't reach
( the only true way to expand coverage area is mutli bases )
but mind that both bases tho in same app will need to be armed separately... plus side is you can run more than one schedule at a time ( one on each base )
